Still legal

In response to the Supreme Court's 6/24/2022 decision to overturn Roe v Wade, the doctors of Cascade Women's Health would like to restate what is still current and true in Oregon:

  • The Reproductive Health Equity Act of 2017 was passed by the Oregon Legislature and signed into law by Governor Kate Brown. It guarantees the right to the full range of reproductive health services in Oregon.
  • Abortion is legal in our state.
  • All FDA approved forms of contraception including IUDs and emergency contraception remain legal in our state.

We believe all people should have the right to control their own body, life, and future -- no matter where they live. The doctors and staff of Cascade Women's Health will be doing our part to make sure people have access to the essential health care they need.

If so inclined, we encourage you to do whatever you are able to help those living in places that now have no, or much more limited, access to abortion services. A couple of sites to connect with if you are able to offer support either as a volunteer or financially:

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamett
Northwest Abortion Access Fund

Thank you.
